I was recently recommend an audio book to help me with my ‘side hustle’ business but strangely enough I’ve found it extremely helpful in so many more areas of my life.
The theory is that there is 4 different personality colours (it’s very basic and not intended to be based on scientific proof) but rather a way to help you figure out about yourself and how to communicate better with others. Being able to figure out what another persons colour is will help you use language that will appeal to them and strengthen your relationship- whatever kind it might be- friendship/work mate/family etc
I found it really helpful and I’ve decided I am a blue with a lot of yellow. Basically I have conversational ADD, I am social and love building friendships and relationship.
What I didn’t expect was it to help me in my hair and makeup business! I had a client the other that after our trial she messaged me to say she wanted her hair more structured so when I showed up on the day and listened to her chatting I realised she was a ‘green’ and quite analytical and logical so a hairstyle that was less bohemian and more precise would be more her style.
I think in this day and age where we tend to communicate less with spoken word and more with texts and messages (a perfect way to be misunderstood) anything that can help us with that communication is helpful.
